Fools of Fashion Week 2013

Over the years, fashion week has gone weirder and weirder! Most things are normal but there's the odd designer that tries to do the 'Out There' look. If that's what fashion is then I'd rather look like a tramp. Even then, they would turn that into 'The Look', kind of already have.

This years Fashion Week had a lot of runway models I felt sorry for! some with masks, others with just a bare costume. Tbh, I think they should just stick to mainstream fashion instead of making a mockery of themselves as well as their models. Poor souls however, they getting moneyysss so I don't feel that bad for them!

My Top 5 Favourites:

1. "When I grow up, I want to wear a tree!"

2.  "Do you like my outfit? I bought it for an event that happened during summer in London 2011"

3. I feel sad for them too.

4. "I hate it when my hair gets in my face"

4. Her career started when she starred in the programme The Adams Family

 5. And the award for most ridiculous outfit goes to these three.

Hope you laughed a hard as a I did when I saw these :P Live life to the fullest and remember:

MUA Palette

Most people consider MUA Makeup as just a back up or only for a rainy day. Or they don't use it cause its cheap - simple. However, I bought an MUA eye shadow palette cause I saw a few good reviews on it. One even compared it to Mac, I think it may have been a bit exaggerated there but each have their own opinions. Personally, I think that if it is even the right support then could potentially work for an everyday or occasional use. Support as in an eye primer or an over cream to stop it from creasing.

There are a variety of colours on each palette. I bought a brown palette with more safe, skin tone colours for an everyday use.

My results were that if I didn't use any sort of support then it creased ridiculously and easily came off. While on the other hand, with support (No7 Eye Primer) it didn't crease at all. Nor did it come off.. till I started to touch it a lot, then it take off on my fingers (my own dopiness)

Although, you may find it easier to get really good eye shadow used on a daily bases, it would help cost wise to check out the MUA palette and use a good primer.

Green Lippy

Hellooo, my lovelies! Haven't posted in so long, feels like I'm being reunited with an old friend.

A few weeks ago, I saw a woman on the bus putting on green lipstick and it looked GOOD! But not for the reasons your thinking. This isn't one of those things where someone wears something ridonculous and easily pulls it off. Ohh Hell NO! This green lipstick, once applied turned pink. So naturally, I went out on the search for green lipstick that turned pink and funnily enough, I found it on my first go - Superdrug: £4-£5 (Can be found anywhere that sell Barry M products)

Pros:

- It feels like a lip balm rather than lipstick

- Adapts to colour of lip so it wont come out same colour on everyone
- Comfortable to wear
- Long lasting
- Cost Efficient

Cons:

- When first applied, looks patchy
- Takes time to appear
- Sometimes colour goes darker throughout the day
- Doesn't come off very easily which then leaves patches of colour

I guess the cons are kind of off putting but I hope the pros are encouraging! Hope you enjoyed reading, speak soon. Live life to the fullest and remember:

It’s my birthday, I'll get high if I want to!

It’s my birthday, I'll get high if I want to... but I don't want to cause I'm a good girl. And its not my birthday anymore, it was yesterday. So basically non of it is true. Awks

The best part of my birthday is getting presents. And this year, I was very fortunate to receive some really nice gifts. I got designer make up cause everyone knows I love make up soo much, I got...

As levels of excitement were high, I decided to try it all out. And although it doesn't look like I'm wearing that much make up, these are all the products I used on my face for this look...

And so here's the look:

Looks kind of crappy cause I had to use my bad eye brushes :'(
and my eyes were watering so the mascara went weird

The down side to the make up:

- Although the Mascara was really good, it felt very heavy on the eyes.

- The Lipstick needed to be applied very thick or otherwise looked clear (may just be cause of my lip colour or may not) and so had to add another lipstick with it

There were only two things that weren't tiptop with the make up. The make up is really good as expected. And I definitely plan to get more (Birthday Money.. Woooo)

Day To Day

Hello beautiful beings! So, I'm still completely obsessed with lipstick but now I have also found another craze... Eye shadow! I hadn't ever really used any of them but recently started to and their actually really good so I thought I'd blog about my booyah techniques.

Anyhoo (Ohh the good old My Wife And Kids days! Btw, look up Franklin, he's soo grown up now) I tried out a gold and brown day to day look that could be used for anything. You could even do it up even more and make it suitable for an occasion.

I used a random palette I had - non branded
Only used Shades 1 & 2
So here's the look:

What did I do, you ask? Well..
Firstly, I used shade 1 on my eye lid, up to the crease. No higher
Secondly, I used shade 2 in the eye crease and went a bit above to the brow bone.
Thirdy, apply eyeliner on both top and bottom - i used Collection 2000 for the top and Bobbi Brown creamy eyeliner on the waterline
Fourthly, apply mascara (or fake eyelashes if you wish) - i used Long Lasting Clinique Mascara

Like I said before, this look can also be done up for an occasion. Going a bit darker with both shades and working above the shown amount on the higher levels of your eye can make the look more dressed up. And of course, adding some fake eye lashes makes every look better or what I would rather go for... some bad ass mascara that enhances your eyelashes. I would recommend Maybelline Falsies Black Drama Mascara (£7.99) or Rimmel Scandal'eyes Extreme Black (£6.99).

Close up

Claires Cosmetics - Its Not What It Looks Like

So my makeup is like over loading and I thought I'd try out my make up to decide which ones to throw away in order to make more space. My mum had recently bought me some makeup from Claires. She bought me an eye shadow palette and a glittery turquoise eye liner. I thought I'd start with those cause I didn't really think they'd be good. However, its true! Mum's always know best. Turns out that not only were there nice colours in the palette, they were also long lasting too.

Check out my skiiillls!

Step 1: Used Shade 1 on the inner sides of my eyes

Step 2: Used Shade 4 in the middle while blending with shade 1

Step 3: I then used Shade 3 and blended it in with Shade 4

Step 4 - Applied liquid eyeliner on the top and in waterline (Collection 2000)
then applied Mascara (Clinique - Long last)

I would recommend using an eye shadow base which will not only keep it on for longer but will also blend the eye shadow in at the top of your eye. Also, I didn't do this cause I don't have the brush atm but if you have a blending brush then bend in the eye shadow at the top of your eye on your brow bone.

Lips - Collection 2000 Lip Definer

Here I have also used the same steps as said above but exchanged
Shade 4 with Shade 2 and Shade 3 with Shade 1
and minus the bottom eyeliner - got lazy but feel free to try it

P.s. Sorry for the crappy camera quality
Here I've used:
Turquoise Eyeliner on the top & bottom - Claire's Cosmetics
Black liquid eyeliner - Collection 2000

Waterline:
Right eye - Barry M silver eyeliner
Left eye - Bobbi Brown - Black creamy eyeliner

Had two ideas so I thought I'd try both of them out.. I prefer the silver

Claire's Cosmetics aren't that bad, don't knock it till you've tried it! Thanks for reading you awesome people! Leave comments and lemme know what you think.

Lipstick League

Summer is finally here and everyone is altering their looks to best suit the weather. While everyone may be changing the shades of foundation, getting out the bronzer and tanning their bootees off… I have been going crazy with my lipsticks. My craze has led me to go on a wild goose chase to find a specific shade of pinkish, reddish sort of purple lipstick. Sadly, I’m still on the chase but I will eventually find it. However, while trying to find this colour, I have come across and bought some amazing shades that are appropriate for many different looks.

My personal style consists of loads of different looks; some looks are very safe wise others may be a bit out there. In the same way, I have lipstick colours that are very safe and others that are a bit challenging to society. But don’t be thinking that I dress like a fool though, that’s only for runway models as stated in my last post.

My ‘hunt’ has gone to show me that price doesn’t always speak for the product. My lipsticks are all good and some are admittedly better than others that are pricier but that aren’t always the matter at hand. Sometimes when a lipstick a ‘cheap’ it may some off easily but using a lip primer helps me to keep it on for longer. I say, if the colour is nice then get it unless it is ridonculously cheap and the description is exaggerated for its price and it’s off a market stool. Then you are free to say “Ohhh Heyylll NO!” Be curious of what you buy and do your research, if brands have a lot of bad feedback, trust the consumers! Majority rules :D

Okay, so as you can see I maybe a bit addicted to lipstick at the moment but I just love lipstick. And I think that if you got nice lips then don’t be selfish and keep them to yourself. Show them to the world and make them love it. If Angeline Jolie could to it then why not you.. Unless you got freakishly small lips then only god can help you. I’m sorry.
